EPC-MAIN Data Server: The EPC-MAIN Data Server accepts up four EPC-REC/EPC-EMIT pedestrian counters via communications cable and up to 28 EPC-REC/EPC-EMIT traffic counters via our EPC-RF Wireless Transceiver.

The EPC-MAIN connects to a PC via a USB port and interfaces with our EPC Software. The software sends a signal to the EPC-MAIN through the USB port. The EPC-MAIN, in turn, sends that signal to the appropriate EPC-REC. This signal may be a signal to adjust a parameter on the given EPC-REC, or it may be to request traffic data records from the EPC-REC. The EPC-REC then sends a confirmation and/or traffic data records back to
the EPC-MAIN. In turn, the EPC-MAIN sends a confirmation and/or traffic data records to the PC software. If traffic data records were received, they will then be placed in the EPC Software database.

The EPC Software allows the user to view and print traffic data in various graphical and text formats.

To clarify, the EPC-MAIN does not save the traffic data. It communicates between the PC and up to 32 EPC-REC. The EPC-REC is the device that saves the data.
